I'm Guyen /pronounced Gwen/, an entrepreneurial leader, strategic thinker, and user-centric designer at heart.
Working at an intersection of product and brand strategy, I've had the privilege to take the products and designs from inception to production for companies in health-tech, entertainment, fintech, transportation, real estate and ed tech. Currently I'm leading the consumer product design team at Capsule, besides being an advisor for early stage startups specialized on visual technologies. Re-design the app & web from the ground up to improve audience's discovery and booking experience.

Re-define TTG house of brands' design language, usability and component systems from B2C to B2B products

3/4 of the milestones have completed within 3 months. Notable results are: the cohesive visual language across all 5 brands in TTG, shared components on all products.

OBJECTIVE
Envision the next generation of Cadre product by focusing on individual investors and improve their investing experience with our platform.

KEY RESULTS
The project is shipped in 4 milestones. We finished the first milestone and already saw the 2X uptick in user conversion in the top funnel.
2018-2019
OBJECTIVE
Envision the first native product. Increase PRO learners' retention by creating a learning habit and sharpening their skills.
ROLE
Design lead, product strategy, product management, user research, user testing, design execution from scratch.
Scaled the team cross-functionally.
KEY RESULTS
After 1 year launch, Codecademy Go became one of the company's core products and played a vital role in Pro subscription & retention. 88% of Pro users with the Mobile app return to Mobile after visiting Web. The app also got featured in App of the Day by Apple.

OBJECTIVE
Increase revenue growth and Pro subscriptions by enabling Pro users to upgrade their careers

Design lead on PRO branding, life cycle experience, content strategy and growth opportunities
KEY RESULTS
Revenue Growth - Company revenue run rate grew ~3X after Pro shipping
Product & Design Impact - Codecademy Pro active subscriptions grew 4X with major product launches such as Pro Trial, Paths, Mobile, etc.

OBJECTIVE
Unify the design language across all product lines & increase productivity between designers and engineers.
ROLE
Design lead on visual language and core components of Codecademy brand and in-product use.
KEY RESULTS
Adoption & Accessibility: Mobile is 100% user accessible and compliant with the our design system standard.
Scalability & Cohesion: The new system allows both web and mobile to speak the same language.
